Past Internet Marketing Clinics

Free Internet Marketing Clinics are offered several times a month in the University of Houston Small Business Development Center at 2302 Fannin in downtown Houston. The objective of the clinics is to allow parties who want to promote business and other activities over the Internet to learn the best techniques and practices to become effective.

More information about Internet marketing and Internet Marketing Tips can be found on my site. Current information of interest will be added to my Internet Marketing blog.

Click here for more information on the software and to download a trial version.A handy tool that I use for managing reciprocal links on my site and on my clients' sites is Arelis, a software package available from Axandra.  This is not "freeware", as are many of the software packages I mention on this site, but it is software that I use personally and have found to be a very powerful and useful aid to the tedious work of obtaining and managing the all-important links in to my sites.  It is available for a trial period to give you an opportunity to experiment with its functions. Although you cannot use the trial version to work with the links on your site,  you can get a good idea of the functionality of the software and how you use it.

Completed sessions.

Wednesday, December 1, 2004 Dick Myers Class: Review of various tools for web developers and webmasters that have been mentioned in classes.

During the class, a question was raised about how to evaluate rankings on keywords over some period of time. One of the class members contributed a site reference that he uses to track his rankings in Google over time. That service is available from http://www.googlealert.com/. This is a little different from the question that was asked, which pertained to varying results from Wordtracker over time. I still am not aware of any way to get that information other than downloading the search results to another database application as I described in class.
