Automating Outlook e-mail

 

Manage your e-mail more effectively by creating "Rules" that identify, sort, and even respond to your messages without your intervention. Outlook 2000 was used to create the following example of recognizing a request for information that might have been generated by a form on your web site and filing it for you in your designated folder.

A simple modification to this example can also be used to generate an automatic response to the sender acknowledging receipt of the request, and notifying others in your business who may need to know about the request.

Outlook provides help via a "Rules Wizard" in setting up the parameters of managing your mail. Start the Wizard from the "Tools" menu on the main screen.

Select "Next" to proceed to the next step in the process.
