This service is accessible through an Internet site that offers you 25 MB of storage at no charge. For mobile professionals, who may need to get access to some of their files from other locations, this can be very handy. There are other ways to transfer files between users or locations, such as e-mail, but there may be restrictions on file size that can be sent.
Non-mobile users may find this handy as a way to provide some additional backup security for especially important files. This is not a lot of space to use as a general backup, but it could make a difference for those few critical files. You can also purchase more space, if you wish.

News from the shop:
Early this month, I presented a workshop at the Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce entitled, "Computer Know How for Smaller Businesses". Two other Chamber members, Compass Technologies, and Clerc Computer Consulting, participated in the workshop with me.
The workshop was a survey of those issues that business managers need to be familiar with to more effectively manage their investment in technology. We broke the issues down into Data, Hardware, Software, Processes, Personnel, and Internet, and tried to provide some insight into the most critical points that a manager should keep in mind in regard to each.
The workshop was an "open" format, which lead to a general discussion of matters that interested the participants. On this evening, the Internet dominated the discussion, with many questions such as, "What is an ISP?" "How do you choose one for your business?" "How can you get a higher speed connection to the Internet?" "What can a web site do for your business?" and "How can you get people to come to your web site?", among others.
This workshop was offered through the Chamber for a fee of $25, paid to the Chamber, for a two hour session. I will be adding more material to the presentation and plan to sponsor the workshop again in the future. My committee at the Chamber is looking for other topics of general interest to business owners and managers.
